UK
In the UK, AHT continues to expand its Engine Carbon Clean (“ECC”) client list, focusing on turnover and profitability. Progress remains strong as we continue engagement with UK companies and see clients returning for additional cleans, leading to real-world fuel efficiency gains that in some cases have surpassed previous test results. These outcomes are helping us secure new commercial agreements.
Fishers, a leading commercial laundry company in Scotland, has initiated its second cleaning cycle, with preliminary data indicating a quantifiable reduction in emissions. Industrial Chemicals Limited (“ICL”) and Abels have concluded their third rounds of cleaning; notably, ICL’s advanced telematics are revealing significant fuel efficiency improvements across several vehicles, well above the 7.5% gains previously achieved at Millbrook.
Port Express, a prominent logistics provider, has commenced a multi-vehicle trial. Certain segments of their fleet utilise Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (“HVO”), a lower-emission alternative with a higher upfront cost. We remain optimistic that ECC’s efficiency advancements will help offset these costs, further enhancing HVO’s appeal from both environmental and economic perspectives. HVO still contains carbon, which ends up as deposits on engine components, so HVO-powered vehicles still need cleaning!
Our collaboration with DB ESG continues to strengthen. Following the recent successful Freightliner trial — which yielded valuable shared insights — we expect full access to the results in the coming weeks.
Engagement has begun with Colas Rail, which is assessing ECC as part of its broader ESG initiatives. The initial response to our technology has been positive, and preparations are underway for a multi-vehicle trial. AHT has also been invited to present at Colas Rail’s internal sustainability forum, where suppliers highlight their contributions to the company’s environmental objectives.
Award Nominations
AHT has received two recent award nominations. The RSK Group named our ECC system a finalist for Sustainability in their RSK Innovation Awards 2025, recognising its operational and environmental impact. Additionally, US partner Powermers nominated AHT for the Resilience category at the Frontier Forum, highlighting our technology’s adaptability and strength.
International
We have visited South Africa, the US, and Turkey recently to support strategic expansion and establish initial steps for entering these new markets.
South Africa
The first visit was to South Africa, where meetings were held with the operations and sales teams. In collaboration with a global carbon trading company, discussions took place with their clients to gauge interest and multiple parties indicated willingness to trial ECC. Based on these interactions, equipment has been deployed to South Africa. We have potential clients such as City Logistics who have agreed to initial trials, and the first cleans will take place this month.
United States
The next location was Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a trial began with partners Eagle Redi-Mix. The company’s initial interest was in potential fuel savings, which expanded upon learning about ECC’s possible impact on reducing carbon build-up, a factor in mechanical issues within their fleet. Such breakdowns can cause vehicle downtime and cement losses. The six-month trial is currently in progress, with performance being monitored.
Turkey
The third destination was Turkey, where the Eurasia Rail exhibition served as a platform to introduce ECC to the rail sector via TMS, a rail engineering firm. These preliminary discussions are ongoing, and initial engagement has taken place.
