Background
Industrial Chemicals Limited (“ICL”), a major UK chemical supplier aiming to meet ESG and cost-saving goals, requested additional assurance beyond the positive emission reduction results achieved by Abels Moving Services 18-month tests that were reported in the Eureka Magazine in January 2024. To support data from those tests, they stressed the need for laboratory testing to validate the initial findings. A shareholder helped with locating an appropriate testing facility, and following discussions with ICL, we agreed to test one of their articulated tractor units at the Millbrook Proving Ground (https://www.utac.com/our-sites/), a world-class automotive test facility in Bedfordshire. This four-month “Laboratory Testing” phase subjected the ICL vehicle to controlled conditions with set repeatable parameters.
Results
The tests indicated that AHT’s Engine Carbon Clean (“ECC”) system reduces carbon emissions across all measured categories and improves fuel efficiency by over 7% in trucks, based on quarterly or 30,000-mile cleaning.
This Video update provides further details and highlights the robustness of the tests and strong results.
Following these positive results, ICL have entered contractual discussions with AHT, the aim being to receive a mandate to clean their fleet of vehicles. The results will help us continue talks with other interested clients about offering the ECC service to vehicle fleet owners.
